Abstract
We have measured the electron-hole droplet density and binding energy in germanium as a function of uniform, uniaxial stress along the 〈111〉 axis. Our values are in reasonable agreement with the theory of Markiewicz and Kelso and with experimental measurements on strain-confined γ-drops.
