The Berkeley Electronic Press (2007)
  • Irene Perciali
Abstract

The Berkeley Electronic Press is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new peer-reviewed journal in political science and global studies, New Global Studies. This is the 3rd new journal added in 2007, and brings the bepress journal collection total to 38.

New Global Studies is the first journal to approach contemporary globalization as a whole, and across disciplinary lines. It draws from history, sociology, anthropology, political science, and international relations to study the past and present of today's globalizing process. Topics include the patterns and local effects of economic globalization, global media networks, preservation of the global environment, transnational manifestations of culture, and the methodology of global studies itself. New Global Studies is an essential resource: a single journal for those who are interested in global affairs and the contemporary history of globalization, both broadly and in depth. Editors Nayan Chanda (Yale), Akira Iriye (Harvard), and Bruce Mazlish (MIT) are prominent leaders in the field of global history; editorial board members come from major institutions in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
