About Belay Seyoum

Dr. Seyoum is Professor of International Business at the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. He joined Nova Southeastern in 1991. In terms of education, he received his master's and doctoral degrees in International Business from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He teaches a variety of courses in international business and economics. Prior to coming to Nova Southeastern, he taught international business at Concordia and McGill University. 

Over the last few years, Dr. Seyoum has published four books and numerous articles in the area of international business in prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of World Trade, The International Trade Journal, The International Business Review, The Journal of World Business, the Journal of Global Business and the Thunderbird International Business Review. Dr. Seyoum’s current area of research includes intellectual property rights, trade policy, and global competitiveness. He is the 2007 recipient of the Fulbright scholar award to teach and conduct research at the School of Business, University of Warsaw, Poland.
