Associate Professor, Curriculum and Instruction
Barb Ruben, EdD, works with preservice teachers in the Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP), the Secondary Dual Educator Program (SDEP), and the Library Media Program.
Dr. Ruben received her doctorate in educational leadership at PSU in June 2004. Her doctoral work entailed studying whether a teacher education program can influence the development of teachers as change agents. She and her colleagues in general education and special education collaborated to develop a dual licensure program in secondary content area and special education. As part of that program she has been involved in research in preservice general ed/special ed collaboration. She looks forward to continuing her work with preservice and inservice teachers.
