About Barbara Potts

Barbara Potts is the lead for this repository and scholarly communication activities on campus. Barbara was first hired into the Research and Instruction Department and is now currently leading the Scholarly Communications Department here at Liberty University Jerry Falwell Library. Since 2001, Barbara has worked in academic libraries in various capacities such as Circulation Manager, Reserves, and Acquisition Librarian. Currently, Barbara assists faculty and students with the Liberty University online repository including electronic theses and dissertations, online journals, faculty online profiles, and graduate programs. Barbara also assists with copyright and fair use questions and she teaches information literacy and UNIV101 online courses. Barbara is a liaison to the Academic Affairs for Athletics and Family and Consumer Sciences. Ms. Potts, earned a BA in Business Management from Malone University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University of Ohio. Barbara has also gained a certificate from Harvard Law School's CopyrightX in June 2020.
