About Barbara Potts
Barbara Potts has taught as an adjunct professor for College of Applied Studies and Academic Success. She was the lead for this repository and scholarly communication activities on campus. Barbara was first hired into the Research and Instruction Department and was the head of the Scholarly Communications Department here at Liberty University Jerry Falwell Library. Since 2001, Barbara has worked in academic libraries in various capacities such as Circulation Manager, Reserves, and Acquisition Librarian. Barbara assisted faculty and students with the Liberty University online repository including electronic theses and dissertations, online journals, faculty online profiles, and graduate programs. Barbara also assisted with copyright and fair use questions. Barbara was the liaison to the Academic Affairs for Athletics and Family and Consumer Sciences. Ms. Potts, earned a BA in Business Management from Malone University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University of Ohio. Barbara has also gained a certificate from Harvard Law School's CopyrightX in June 2020. After the graduation of her youngest child she decided to change careers. Barbara continues to be a librarian at a local public library and volunteering as President of the local Friends of the Library organization..
