Barbara A. McGraw, formerly a corporate finance attorney with the international law firm Skadden Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, holds a Ph.D. in Religion and Social Ethics (1999) and a Juris Doctor Degree (1984) both from the University of Southern California. Her scholarship and advocacy for more than 20 years has focused on religious pluralism engaging political culture, public policy, and the professions. A thought-leader in the newly emerging interfaith leadership field, she is a champion for interfaith leadership education, religious liberty rights, and the value of religious pluralism. She is the author of Rediscovering America’s Sacred Ground, co-editor (with Jo Renee Formicola) of Taking Religious Pluralism Seriously, editor of the Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Politics in the U.S., co-author (with Robert S. Ellwood) of the widely-used world religions text Many Peoples, Many Faiths, and author of numerous academic chapters and articles advancing religious liberty and interfaith leadership.
