About Prof. Azamal Husen



 
Prof. Azamal Husen is working at Department of Biology, University of Gondar, Gondar, Ethiopia (Under UNDP Project, the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia). He was also a Visiting Faculty of the Forest Research Institute, and the Doon College of Agriculture Science and Technology at Dehra Dun, India. He has taught various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Husen present effort intends to contribute in the area of (i) biochemical/physiological strategies adaptation by plant species for their sustenance under abiotic stress, providing sensitive toxicity/tolerance biomarkers (ii) nanoparticles fabrication from plants/microbes and their applications in cutting-edge areas; nanoparticles transportation/accumulation/growth response/stress modulation in plant system; and (iii) clonal propagation. Dr. Husen has experience of working in research projects sponsored by ICFRE (FREEP) - the World Bank; the ICAR - NATP, and the JBIC, at Forest Research Institute, Dehra Dun, India; and Research & Community Service Core Process at University of Gondar, Ethiopia.
