Abstract
This study examines the linguistic and extra-linguistic factors influencing variation in the elision of the voiced bilabial stop /b/ in intervocalic position (e.g. estaba ‘to be-1SG-IMP’) by native Spanish speakers of Caracas, Venezuela.
