Abstract
In this paper the development of the Spanish stop segments /p t k b d g/ is explored. Previous research examining the development of these segments has been conducted on English-speaking learners, which limits our understanding of the acquisitional challenges facing learners from distinct individual and social backgrounds. The findings of this study demonstrate that the path of acquisition of the production of stops by 66 Korean learners of Spanish mirrors that attested for English-speaking learners.
