Abstract
Impact Factors? Citation Reports? Altmetrics? What does it all mean? This session will bring perspectives and understanding to publication metrics for library personnel and library school students. Gujilde will focus on traditional metrics such as impact factors and citation reports and its impact on core library services. Lowery will discuss altmetrics and its influence on the current research landscape. Examples of application of publication metrics from Georgia Southern University will be highlighted throughout the session.
