About Ashlee Dere

Dr. Ashlee Dere is an Assistant Professor of Geology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is also an Associate Professional Soil Scientist. Dr. Dere holds a Ph.D. in Geosciences from Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in Soil Science from Pennsylvania State University, a French Language Certificate from Université Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III, and a B.S. in Earth Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Her research interests include weathering, Critical Zone science, soil geochemistry, peology, geomorphology, and land use change.
