Abstract
Amanda graduated from CSU Monterey Bay in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences.  While deeply interested in her studies, she felt a growing compulsion to study security issues on a national and international scale.  For her senior capstone, Amanda conducted original research attempting to understand the complex relationship between the public and the United States Intelligence Community in, American Perception of Intelligence Agencies, Post 9/11.

Following completion of her BA, Amanda attended the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey Bay and received a master’s degree in Nonproliferation and Terrorism studies with a concentration in Spanish language studies.  During her studies, Amanda worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, researching and analyzing Weapons of Mass Destruction and military capabilities in Latin America utilizing Spanish language skills, open-source information systems and geospatial tools.

Amanda currently works on the Federal Team for Altana AI, a fast growing start up that enables trusted commerce by providing a shared source of truth on the global supply chain. Altana’s AI platform connects and learns from billions of data points to help governments and the private sector build safe, resilient, and sustainable supply chains.  In her free time, Amanda works as a Co-Producer on the Iron Butterfly Podcast.  A podcast the first of its kind, by and for women in the US Intelligence Community, co-produced by the Amazing Women of the IC (AWIC) and National Security Institute at George Mason University. The Iron Butterfly Podcast brings real stories from women in intelligence - who they are as professionals, and most importantly, who they are as people.
