The paper delineates the scientific theories of symbiosis, resource loops, equilibrium, diversity pattern, hierarchy, metapopulation and island biogeography, as the most pertinent resource for drawing lessons on planning a Symbiotic city and recommends further in-depth study for selection of principles that can be directly integrate with and inform the theories and practice of urban planning.
