Abstract
The current crisis affecting the world and particularly the business community could be categorized as a perfect socioeconomic storm because it lacks leadership, accountability, and change.
Socioeconomics can allude to social economics for the reason that it pertains to the correlation between social and economic variables within the general public or organization.
If we take a look at how the pandemic has exposed a lack of leadership among certain countries and their failure to address the crisis we can see that most have abandoned accountability.  Accountability means responsible behavior. Means ownership. And it is fully essential at each level of organizations and governments. However, at a fundamental level, accountability is frequently misconstrued by leaders who associate it with them but not to themselves.
