Anne's research is on equitable work in port cities. "Affordability is not just about buildings and design - it's also about work. Tacoma is a city that has long based its identity on its manufacturing and maritime industries, and as income inequality and land valuation skyrocket, this is no time to stop. Green innovation and equity-focused industrial development in the Tideflats are essential land use strategies for a more affordable Tacoma, and living wage work is at the core of a truly sustainable city."
