Faculty Perceptions of Open Access Author Fees(2015)
AbstractIn fall 2013, librarians at Syracuse University and Cornell University surveyed STEM faculty to learn about their experiences with, and perceptions of, open access publishing and the author fees that may accompany that model. The results showed little experience with open access author fees but strong opinions about the open access model. This poster will highlight the cautious optimism found in the results along with suggestions for librarians to further faculty understanding of and participation in open access publishing.
