About Anne Gershenson

My laboratory uses optical techniques, particularly single molecule fluorescence, to study protein conformation, folding, protein-protein and protein-membrane interactions in real time. Questions of interest include: What are the time scales and pathways for large-scale conformational changes associated with function and folding? How do protein dynamics affect function and stability?  How do dynamics affect protein-protein and protein-membrane interactions?
