Abuse of a Position of Vulnerability within the International Legal Definition of Trafficking(2012)
This is the first in a series of three studies requested by States Parties to the Trafficking Protocol into aspects of that instrument, most particularly around the definition of trafficking that "are not clearly understood and, therefore, are not being consistently implemented and applied". The Study considers "abuse of a position of vulnerability" an aspect of the 'means' element of the definition. It was prepared by Anne T Gallagher with the support of Marika McAdam.
