About Anna Goddard, PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC

Anna Goddard, Ph.D., APRN, CPNP-PC is now an Adjunct Professor in the College of Nursing at Sacred Heart University after working full time as an Assistant Professor from 2019 to June 2022. She practices as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in both medical and mental health care settings in the public health sector. She is an advocate for School-Based Health Center (SBHC) care and has worked in leadership positions in SBHC for the last several years including the Board of Directors for CASBHC, Expert Faculty for Project Echo, & Project Advisory Group for the National SBHC CoIIN 3.0. Dr. Godard is experienced in quality improvement, research methods and statistics, implementation science, and healthcare management. She has a Ph.D. in Nursing Science and her research interests include resilience, SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral for Treatment) for substance abuse prevention, and SBHCs as an integrated medical and mental health care modality. Anna has worked on several grants; most recently the National Quality Indicators CoIIN 1.0 and 2.0 for the National School Based Health Alliance and Connecticut DPH Quality Improvement Learning Collaboratives with the Connecticut School Based Health Alliance (CASBHC). She was recipient of the Vanderbilt University Centennial Fellowship, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners McNeil Grant, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Advocacy Award and the 2020 Kelley-Reed Community Impact Award through the the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
