Abstract
This chapter focuses on the lessons learned from the COVIDSafe app, a track and trace technology designed for the Australian context, and seeks to understand the conditions for successful implementation of track and trace technologies. Do track and trace mechanisms work? Are the failures of COVIDSafe due to technology or user? What lessons can be learned from Australia about enhancing implementation through education.
