Abstract
The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) contracted The University of Melbourne Commercial Limited (UoMC) and the Centre for Program Evaluation (CPE) to undertake a process and impact evaluation of the implementation of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (“the Standards”); formerly known as the National Professional Standards for Teachers. This data supplement focuses upon the analyses undertaken in association with two National Surveys administered in 2013 and 2015.

Building on the findings of the first National Survey and National Forum data, as well as the case studies, the aim of the second National Survey in 2015, was to understand formative use of the Standards as well as the impact of the implementation to-date upon the education profession. As a result, the implementation of the Standards is continuing and expanding with respect to breadth and frequency across the education profession in Australia. This document presents a national overview of implementation in Australia, with a focus on educators working in schools and relevant educational organisations.
