Abstract
This book offers one of the very first comprehensive introductions of the 15th century Odia epic in Hindi. It contains thirty-six episodes from different parvas that either do not exist in Vyasa Mahabharata or, if they exist, they are presented differently in Sarala’s version. Arranged in a chronological order, the selected stories convey to the reader the essence of Sarala Mahabharata and also help them appreciate the difference between the Odia and the Sanskrit Mahabharatas. यह किताब हिंदी के पाठकों तक ओड़िआ महाभारत का सार कालक्रमानुसार व्यवस्थित ३६ ऐसी कहानियों के ज़रिये पहुँचाती है जो व्यास महाभारत में नहीं हैं या फिर अधिक भिन्नता लिए हुए हैं। साथ ही प्रसंगों की विशेषताओं और व्यास से भिन्नताओं पर प्रकाश भी डाला गया है।
