Abstract
This Supplement covers developments since the publication of the seventh edition of Immigration and Refugee Law and Policy in January 2019. It incorporates and replaces the 2019 Supplement. The 2020 Supplement includes, in part:

• Major Supreme Court decisions in 2019 and 2020, including Barton v. Barr, Department of Commerce v. New York, Department of Homeland Security v. Thuraissigiam, Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California, and Nielsen v. Preap;

• Public charge regulations and inadmissibility;

• The Attorney General’s continued practice of overruling BIA precedent to curtail procedures and limit rights in the removal process;

• Updates on policies at the border and relevant litigation, including materials on family separation, Migration Protection Protocols, “metering,” transit bar, CDC, and third country agreements policies;

• Enforcement, including courthouse arrests, detention, sanctuary policies;

• COVID-19 pandemic and impact on immigration and economy;

• DACA updates;

• Census-related litigation and policies;

• Updates on asylum and the Convention Against Torture; and

• Developments in states and localities regarding immigrants, including driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants and access to professional licenses regardless of immigration status.
