Abstract
This Supplement covers developments since the publication of the seventh edition of Immigration and Refugee Law and Policy in January 2019. It includes, in part:

• Nielsen v. Preap and mandatory detention;

• New regulations on public charge grounds of inadmissibility;

• DACA updates;

• Continued use of Attorney General decision to curtail procedures and limit rights in the removal process, including Matter of M-S- on bond hearings and Matter of E-F-H-L- on the right to full evidentiary hearings;

• Updates on family separation policies and litigation;

• Ryan v. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and courthouse arrests;

• Matter of L-E-A- and family as a particular social group;

• Migration Protection Protocols/Remain in Mexico;

• Bars to asylum based on passage through third countries and the Guatemalan agreement;
