About Angela M. Waguespack

Angela Waguespack, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), and the Director of the Specialist Program in School Psychology. Her research and professional interests focus on school and community efforts to foster healthy development and school readiness in children, and to enhance access to and implementation of services which improve educational and mental health outcomes for diverse children and families.

Dr. Waguespack is the NSU Program Director of the Reading Explorers Program (REP), which provides reading assessment and intervention services to more than 2000 children and families annually who are attending summer camps throughout Miami-Dade County. During the school year, REP supports capacity-building efforts to strengthen differentiated literacy instruction in diverse afterschool programs through collaborative consultation/coaching and technical assistance support with community providers.
