This book studies the relationship between Paraguay and the United States during the Cold War. It examines the exchange of military, diplomatic and economic support by successive U.S. administrations to the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner (1954-89), which was reciprocated by an extreme anti-communism in the domestic and foreign policy of the regime.
