About Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Communication, Media & the Arts at Sacred Heart University and Director of the sports communication and media graduate program. As the Society of Cinema Studies Information Technology Officer he led the team that developed and launched the new SCMS website, and in a previous life he worked for six years as an Assistant Director in film and television production on features such as Of Mice and Men and television series like Beverly Hills 90210. He has published on early cinema and American sporting culture.
Degrees: Ph.D., Cultural and Critical Studies, University of Pittsburgh; MA, Communications, University of Iowa; BA, English and Film Studies, University of Michigan.
