About Andrew W Jurs

Andrew Jurs is a Professor of Law at Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. His research focuses on judicial handling of complex scientific evidence, including judicial gatekeeping under Daubert, and also expert witness persuasion. He teaches Evidence and Scientific & Expert Evidence in his field of research, as well as Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, which build upon his experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado. Professor Jurs received his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his undergraduate degree from Stanford.
