Andrew D. Earles, Video Operations Specialist for Special Collections, converts older film and video formats into digital files for long-term preservation and use of the materials. He originated the concept for the 50 Years Ago Today project where he digitizes the WSAZ news footage from fragile film and video to sturdy DVD putting it on the Internet for the entire community to enjoy.
