About Andrew T. Creamer

Andrew is the Scientific Data Management Librarian at Brown University Library. Previously he coordinated research data management (RDM) education initiatives for the Lamar Soutter Library of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. From 2009-2014, Andrew worked on a variety of the library's science, eScience, and research data management outreach projects. He was also involved with the library's international outreach projects from 2011-2013, including the rehabilitation of the University of Liberia's medical library at the A.M. Dogliotti School of Medicine in Monrovia, Liberia.
Andrew has taught scientific data management at Simmons College SLIS, for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, New England and Mid-Atlantic Regions, ACRL New England, for the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Massachusetts, and the IMSD Program at Brown University.
Andrew holds a degree in Biology and is a graduate of Virginia Tech's Graduate School of Education and Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. His research interests include international library models for teaching research data management and providing RDM services. He was a co-instructor along with Elaine Martin, Regina Raboin, and Donna Kafel of LIS 532G-01 Scientific Data Management at Simmons College.
