About Andrea Venet

Active as a performing soloist, chamber musician, composer, arranger, clinician, and pedagogue, the focus of
my creative activity and research is performance-based within the genre of contemporary percussion. Specific
interests encompass new and existing solo and chamber percussion literature (including commissioning
composers and writing my own compositions), Baroque performance practice concepts applied to playing Bach
on marimba, tonal improvisation and pedagogy, techniques on a wide variety of classical percussion
instruments, and building an online presence as an artist affiliated with UNF percussion. The information below
represents creative and scholarly activity. My professional affiliations include endorsements by Malletech,
(www.MostlyMarimba.com), Remo (www.Remo.com), and Dream Cymbals (www.DreamCymbals.com).
