Project Description

Gil Clary, Professor of Psychology, Andrea Olson, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Mary Thoreson, student researcher, Christina McGovern, student researcher, Kristen Kringle, student researcher, and Megan Jung, student researcher, received a $27,810 award from the 3M Large Scale Grant program to conduct research with the participants in the St. Catherine's Habitat for Humanity house. They hope to address questions like: Why do people initially volunteer to participate in a community service project like this? Why do some volunteer fulfill their service, and others do not fulfill their service? Why do some volunteers intend to become long term volunteers and others do not?
