Abstract

Learn some tips and techniques to create sustainable and malleable information literacy and research online teaching modules! This short presentation illustrates a number of ways to manage the workload of creating online teaching modules while also keeping them entertaining. Taking a look at both the macro and micro level of creating these modules, this talk suggests a number of ways to create a sustainable workflow. This certainly includes the importance of not reinventing the wheel every time we create an online learning object and module. Techniques featured include reusing existing resources, creating malleable scripts, and meaningful and constructed descriptive techniques. In addition, this talk touches on why using modules can be helpful in teaching Information Literacy in an online setting.
