Abstract

The approach discussed in this paper shows one way in which students may be shown how to design optimal information systems (IS) solutions for business applications. Using a generalized requirements-analysis-design-development (RADD) framework, students are shown how they can acquire and sharpen skills necessary for the design of optimal solutions by appropriate selection of data structures and algorithms. The RADD framework enables students to systematically move through the stages of IS design and development.
