About Ana María Mutis

I specialize in modern Spanish American literature but my interests reach into other areas of study such as film and transatlantic studies. My comparative approach in research draws from the fields of literary theory and cultural studies. My most recent work focuses on literature and film and the environment.

At Trinity I have taught a variety of courses on Spanish language, Latin American and Spanish civilization, first year experience, and Latin American literature.

As Director of the Spanish Writing Center and the Spanish Tutoring Team I create learning opportunities for students that go beyond the classroom environment.
