Amy Cox came to Harding in 2001 in the early years of her successful career as an interior designer.  Since then, Cox has completed an M.B.A. from Harding University and an M.F.A degree in Collaborative Design from John Brown University.  She has served as the Program Director of Interior Architecture and Design, Chair of the Department of Art, Architecture and Design and is currently the Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences.  She holds a NCIDQ certification from the Council for Interior Design Qualification and is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC).  She has held various regional leadership positions for ASID and is serving as campus sponsor for this professional organization.

 

Amy has served on various university committees including Environmental Stewardship, Undergraduate Affairs, Undergraduate Academic Leaders, and the Faculty Constitution and Bylaws Advisory Sub-Committee. She is currently serving as President of the Faculty Leadership Council. Her community work includes various projects in Searcy and throughout the state, service on regional interior design boards and convention presentations for interior design colleagues at international IDEC conferences.
