Abstract
This paper was an overview of the life and work of Norwegian-American fiddler Ole Hendricks (1851–1935). This hour-long presentation included performances from his 100-page tunebook manuscript, and explored what the tunebook reveals about traditional music and dance in a small town in the Red River Valley during the 1890s. Assisting musicians included Beth Rotto and Sara Pajunen on fiddles and Chris Bashor on guitar.
