About Amy C. Schindler

Amy C. Schindler is the UNO Libraries' Director of Archives & Special Collections (2014-present). Schindler was previously university archivist at the College of William & Mary (2002-2013), and curator of manuscripts at the University at Albany, SUNY (2002-2007) where she had responsibility for expanding and providing access to the Archives of Public Affairs & Policy. She earned an MLIS & MA in History from UW-Milwaukee and BA in History with a certificate in Asian American Studies from UW-Madison.
Schindler has served in various elected and appointed professional service positions primarily with the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC). She has presented at SAA, MARAC, Midwest Archives Conference, American Association for History and Computing, Academic Library Advancement & Development Network, Joint Conference of Librarians of Color, and other conferences on outreach, donor relations, documentation strategy, social media, and other topics.
