About Prof. Amjad D. Al-Nasser

Prof. Amjad D. Al-Nasser is the director of the quality assurance and institutional research unit in Al Falah university (AFU); Dubai-UAE since February, 2016. Previously, he was the chair of the Department of Statistics, and the assistant dean of quality at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. He completed a Ph.D. degree in applied statistics from the National University of Malaysia; which is one of five research universities in the country. It was ranked number 312th in the world by QS World University Rankings in 2015; and it placed 56th in the QS Top 500 Asian University Rankings in 2015.
His research interests includes the Generalized Maximum Entropy & Customer Satisfaction Index, Measurement Error Models, Data Envelopment Analysis, Ranked Set Sampling and Acceptance Sampling Plans.
His research appeared in journals such as Journal of Applied Statistics, Journal of Nonparametric Statistics, Communication in Statistics: Simulation and Computation, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Journal of Statistical Theory and Practice, Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Analysis, Journal of Applied Quantitative Methods, Statistics in Transition – New Series, Austrian Journal of Statistics, International Journal of OrganizationalAnalysis, Journal of Human Resource Management, Total Quality Management & he is the Founding editor of the Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis (EJASA)”“.
