Indian agriculture has shifted from supply driven to demand driven system. Due to this transformation, the competiveness of Indian agriculture becomes important. Therefore, the present paper focuses on competiveness of Indian agriculture and highlights both strength and weaknesses of Indian agriculture. Finally, the paper ensures that Indian agriculture will play a bigger role in the world agriculture in future, if good governance and peoples’ participation in development strategy is followed.
