Abstract
This article examines the connection between blame and burnout for HIV human service workers. A description of the attribution of blame and burnout literature provides the basis for a connection between blame and burnout experiences. The recent shift in HIV from an acute to chronic illness makes effective practice with this population that much more imperative. Understanding the link between blame and burnout can influence what human service workers believe about HIV, and enable a positive impact on adequate service provisions.
