Southeast Data Librarian Symposium (SEDLS) (2019)

Abstract
Presentation at the 2019 Southeast Data Librarian Symposium (SEDLS). Abstract: Preparing a workshop to have sometimes only a handful of people show up can be discouraging -- particularly when you consistently have a "full" registration with a waitlist yet your show-up rate averages about 50%. The Georgia State University Library's Research Data Services (RDS) Team implemented two initiatives in the Spring 2019 semester aimed at increasing workshop attendance. This presentation gave an overview of the initiatives and an assessment of their success.
