About Alice Jarvis

Since 2015 I have been an Adjunct Professor in the Kettering online program leading to a Master of Science in Lean Manufacturing.

I spent 31 years with the DuPont Company and worked in a variety of businesses including crop protection chemicals, food processing, nonwovens, and the medical products fields.

I have been a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt since 1999. It has been my privilege to train and certify hundreds of Green, Black, and Master Black Belts globally. I have executed or coached trainees through the successful completion of multi-million dollar projects in areas as diverse as manufacturing, marketing, sales, finance, R&D, and customer service.

Teaching is not transmitting information from a teacher to a student, something that can be accomplished by reading text. Teaching is leading an interactive process where groups of people work together to turn information into knowledge, and help each other prepare to achieve practical goals.
