Dr. Charles Curran Engages with the Question: How Do Today’s Young People Understand Ethics?Browse Entire Collection
AbstractHow do today’s young people understand ethics? Rev. Dr. Charles Curran discusses the need to introduce students to the idea of the “common good” in order to counteract a general tendency towards ethical relativism. As an ethics professor, he specifically finds it important to address this issue at the beginning of each course in order to clarify student misconceptions. Curran also suggests that relativism impacts religious faiths by emphasizing strong similarities and differences.
