Trench Waveguide in Photonic Crystal SlabProceedings of the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics /Quantum Electronics And Laser Science
AbstractWe show that trench defect in a photonic crystal slab leads to efficient wave-guiding. Based on trench-waveguide geometry, slow-light devices and coupled-cavity micro-resonator arrays can be fabricated with scalable (holographic) photolithography avoiding electron-beam lithography.
