Abstract
The research process has changed in recent decades due to new technologies, communication strategies, peer review, open science, among other factors, generating multinational endeavours, international collaborations and financing, using efficient research resources and strengthening scientific products to prevent research misconduct. These elements are important to determine the relationship between national and international policies that allow us to achieve pertinent and applicable knowledge by adopting good practices in research to promote sustainable development and welfare of the population.
