About Alejandra Berenice Trejo Nieto

Regional economic development, regional competitiveness and efficiency, the economic geography of countries, and the impact of economic integration processes are the areas I work on or I am interested in. Currently I have a position as a lecturer and researcher at the Centre for Socioeconomic Research at the University of Coahuila in Mexico. I work in projects related to regional/local competitiveness, the role of the service and manufacturing sectors in development processes, and productivity and efficiency analysis. I have also been involved in fieldwork related to migration and border security.
I am interested in continuing to work on issues such as regional economic development and competitiveness and under various empirical and theoretical perspectives.
