Albert Fratini joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Dayton in 1967 after spending two years in post-doctoral research at the National Academy of Science Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C. He was chair of the department for seven years (1992-99). Over the years, he has advised more than 130 chemistry majors, participated on various university committees, and served three years as the marshal for graduation.
