Abstract

This report summarizes findings from a pre-fire season survey of 109 counties at risk for wildfire in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Patterns and trends are presented that relate to county activities about wildfire disaster mitigation and defensible space, response and mass care, inter-agency communication and coordination, and familiarity and experience with the incident command system and incident management teams.
