About Ahmed Mahmoud, MD, FACS

Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud joined Mission Surgical Clinic after a 15-year career in Stockton, CA practicing Thoracic, Vascular, and Critical Care. Dr. Mahmoud obtained his Medical Degree in Egypt, then pursued U.S. training, culminating in Fellowships in Critical Care Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He is Board Certified in General Surgery, Critical Care Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Mahmoud is the Director of the General Surgery Residency Program at Riverside Community Hospital. He is passionate about teaching and educating the new generation of surgeons.
His practice specialties include Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS), surgery for lung masses and cancers, thoracoscopy, thoracotomy, thoracic aneurysm repairs, as well as pancreatic and esophageal procedures. He continues to perform General Surgery procedures as well, including hernias, gallbladder removals, and removal of skin masses and cancers. Additionally, he performs Vascular Surgery and Minimally Invasive Endovascular Surgery, including abdominal aneurysm repairs, dialysis access, and procedures of venous and arterial diseases.
